Description

After transporting blocks of stone from quarries located on the outskirts of the city of Erfoud in Morocco, the workers cut them into pieces, then our craftsmen take care of sculpting, with the greatest care, various wonderful and unique Goniatite Orthoceras Wall Plate Fossil are made like the plates.

Goniatite is a spiral-shaped fossil from the Devonian era and is between 251 and 390 million years old. These cephalopods lived in shallow seas in tropical to subtropical climates. Their spiral hull had internal compartments which would have been filled with gas to provide buoyancy. The open front chamber served as the goniatite’s living space.

Orthocears are the remains of extinct marine animals, therefore, known as the fossil stone and is around 400 million years old. The ancestor to the squid, over 500 to 190 million years ago, they are marked with a date to the lower Ordovician to Triassic ages.
