The Large Polished Orthoceras and Goniatite Fossil Coffee Table Home is a remarkable piece of art that provides a glimpse of ancient life in your home. The table is made from two types of fossilized stones, orthoceras and goniatite, which have been carefully sculpted and polished to create a unique and elegant piece of furniture.
The orthoceras is a fossilized marine animal that lived over 400 million years ago and is an ancestor to modern-day squid. The fossil stone is transported from quarries located on the outskirts of the city of Erfoud in Morocco and is carefully cut and sculpted by our skilled craftsmen.
The goniatite, on the other hand, is a spiral-shaped fossil from the Devonian era, which is between 251 and 390 million years old. These cephalopods lived in shallow seas in tropical to subtropical climates and had a spiral hull with internal compartments that were filled with gas to provide buoyancy. The open front chamber served as their living space.
Each Large Polished Orthoceras and Goniatite Fossilized Table is unique, with its size and shape varying slightly from one item to another. The approximate dimensions of this piece are H: 0,49 m D: 0,60 m
